Celebrated on different dates across the world, Arbour Day in Australia is June 20th.

It's been a long time since we did a monthly theme!! So, considering most of the world is in either spring or autumn, the 2 best seasons for trees, the theme is
TREES!!
Anything to do with trees, single trees, forests, baby trees, old trees, leaves!! - Not quite - don't want to see submissions of trees chopped down thank you!!

The theme will run through to the end of June, you have to be a member to submit and maximum 3 submissions per person.
All submissions must follow the usual group rules.
There will be a feature of course in early July!!

One of my personal favourite things in art, is when at first sight, the artwork seems quite regular, but then upon closer look you see a lot of unexpected things. Instead of an in-depth explanation, here are a few wonderful artworks, which will show you what I mean.

The first two examples both have a lot of different things going on, which makes you have to look longer, and closer, to see everything. Notice the flowers’ eyes

While not quite dead and not quite alive, Ame is basically a floating zombie with a conscience that can go invisible. Additionally, if her skin is exposed to sunlight the area will instantly catch fire. While she will live on indefinitely(she won't die of old age) she can be killed by things such as exposure to the elements, intentional attacks on her life and the like.
Her undead status began 400 years ago when she left the safety of her village to go into the forest to look for the caravan that would be arriving soon. She found them but She had also been found by one of the many undead that plagued the area and was subsequently set on fire. The caravan ran from her and in her death spewed words and thoughts of hatred for the world and those that lef <da:thumb id="681297444"/>
