My entry for  The Magic of Melies - Photomanipulation ContestOur new event, read everything SO you DO not make ANY mistakes.
This event is a tribute to the fantastic works of Georges Méliès.
Georges Méliès
Was a French illusionist and film director who led many technical and narrative developments in the earliest days of cinema. Méliès was an especially prolific innovator in the use of special effects, popularizing such techniques as substitution splices, multiple exposures, time-lapse photography, dissolves, and hand-painted color. He was also one of the first filmmakers to use storyboards.
1888–1923

We'll give two movies to inspire you, choose one of the themes below:
Theme 1:  A Trip to the Moon
The film follows a group of astronomers who travel to the Moon in a cannon-propelled capsule, explore the Moon's surface, escape from an underground gr of The-Imaginarium.

The Moon Goddess pertain to the "fairy" alien species native of the Moon. She has the power of life and death, is the protector of deads souls and life of the Moon.
She was the first resident of planet and the Cosmos creators gave her power. She lives on her palace on orbit of the Moon.

In relation to the contest, I took as idea the A Trip to the Moon and The Kingdom of the Fairies movies. I thought in type of moon residents and added the concept of "fairy", of course, I wanted do something magic and amazing as Melies movies. Although, I confess part of my inspiration came of deity Elune of World of Warcraft.

La Diosa de la Luna, pertenece a la especie alienigena "hada" nativa de la Luna. Tiene el poder de la vida y la muerte, es la protectora de las almas de los muertos y la vida de la Luna.
Fue la primera habitante en el planeta y los creadores del Cosmos, la dotaron de poder. Vive en su palacio en la órbita de la Luna.

Respecto al concurso, tome como idea la pelicula de Viaje a la Luna y El reino de las hadas. Pense en la clase de habitantes que habria en la Luna y añadi el concepto de "hada", por supuesto que, queria hacer algo magico y sorprendente como las peliculas de Melies. Aunque, confieso que parte de mi inspiración también vino de la deidad Elune de World of Warcraft.
